All my vehicle funds are going to my 84 300D. Someday I'd like to expand the stable with a gasser, and a slightly warmed up 280 coupe would be my next buy. Sort of a toy more than a daily rig.

I have a sailing cruise planned June 2-16, weather permitting. If for some reason the weather is poor and prevents a trip like this I will be there. RT

Hattie,

Probably two cars for me. I'll be bringing up the 76, and my father is probably going to be bringing his 84 190D. So the count is two for me.

thats fine. I didnt want to force people to drive here if there was a better option.

To adress the question of whether or not we need a pavilion...why not have one? We dont have a rain date set, and they never tend to work out, so we can have a "rain or shine" GTG with a garuntee of a dry spot in the event of inclement weather.

So,
1. bring yer' grills and BBQ recipes,
2. just cuz' they say "no booze" doesnt mean that my Sprite bottle won't be filled with Absolut (I used to work for the DCR and as long we aren't completely bonkers, there will be no issues)
3. tell all yer' friends- we can have about 60 cars and hopefully we will!!

Lets get a roll call of all planning to attend and spread the word too!

I will be there with my 84 300D.

Ben

I'll hide the rum under the tool kit in the back. Rum and coke's woo!

Is their a place to cook? If so are their grills already their?

We should get a list so we can cook lunch.

*****. I can't make this one. I have to go to the VW-campout here on Long Island. And I really have to go, because my wife says so, you know what I mean... I so wanted to show off my new SDL... Well, next time.

If I remember.........

Someone mentioned earlier that it would be cool to have a "swapmeet". If this is the case , I just bought an '83 parts car (w123). Some of the goodies are a great running drivetrain, 14" alloys(?bundt?), Ect...... also a factory "cellphone" in the trunk. I'm not sure if it works though. I just figured that if there was a specific part or assemby that would complete a project, you could give a shout to see if it'll fit in the car. Or I suppose I could rent or borrow a trailer??? The body is pretty rusty but complete. And it has tan interior.
