yesterday I checked out the operating hours of Rythym's of the night in Manville NJ they have 110 parking spaces. they are Closed Sun and Mon, but will open for us on a sunday if we have enough people.
tues-saturday 4pm - 2am
I'm thinking for the first GTG, to discuss the possibility of a car show, Saturday April 14th if that's OK with you guys. Now we need to discuss a time. the earlier the better so we can get a few hours of daylight before we party.
Thoughts?
the show, if we have one, is looking like end of July sometime. I'll keep you posted.

I'm trying to organize a joint GTG for MBUSA, BenzWorld and Mercedesshop for central jersey USA

Here is the whole, true story.
Well, It appears that Millenium Auto group, (An Official Mercedes Dealer) in Bridgwater NJ will not be participating in the NJ GTG. After leaving 3 e-mails, and 4 phone calls, which he refused to return, I went over there and left a message for the owner that he wouldn't return my calls or e-mails, which he intercepted. THEN The sales manager called me, and told me to Tell Benzworld, Mercedesshop and MBUSA that he dosn't need our business and to take our members and shove them up my ass.
Jeez. all I wanted was some flags and **** for a local event.
Guess he blew it bigtime....
This moron never even heard of MBUSA. or any of us for that matter.

So... On to MBHQ. The search continues.
I left another message for the owner and saved the sales manager's message on my phone which I will play back to the owner and see if the owner makes up for it. If not, I won't be doing any business with them at all.
I also have one up at the General mercedes forum too. but I felt you guys should know personally.

If anyone is a member of MBUSA, post it over there too for me. I think they'd be interested in knowing this.

this is absurd. If they don't want existing MB owners' business, who else do they want the business from ? I myself haven't had such good experiences at that dealership, which is why I never went there again. I usually go to RayCatena who have excellent service and amazing customer satisfaction! glad you pointed this out to the members here.

like i said. the guy didn't even know who MBUSA was. I think he thought we were like some little group on myspace.
Kinda screwed up that a SALES MANAGER didn't even know about em.

I'm surprised that such an arrogant SOB made it as far as "Sales Manager" in his career. He must be related to somebody. The guy who owns our company is like that, but he inherited the business and has been doing his damnedest to run it into the ground ever since in spite of the employees' best efforts to the contrary.

I saw "The Employee Bill of Rights" or something like that in the service area of a local Ford dealership once. One line that really stood out to me was "The customer is not an interruption or an irritation, he is the very reason for our existence. Treat him accordingly."

Good advice. I've never lost anything by treating every customer or potential customer with respect. I've seen a lot lost by not doing so.

The message I left for the owner with the secretary was Please call me, I am putting on a car show and your Sales Manager refuses to return my calls after waiting 2 weeks.
Note: the key words in the message are "I recieved the message you left for the owner" and 2, "take your 50,000 people and shove em up your ass."

Guys. What do you all think about moving the NJ GTG to Sat. the 21st?
