Chiming in

I might be interested, based on timing, and whether I get some semi-major work done - especially if I can get the oil consumption less than fuel consumption. (OK, that's an exaggeration, but it's an issue). It would also be the longest trip I've ever made in Bernice.

Just a thought, but there's the Auburn/Cord/Duesenburg museum in NE Indiana somewhere (SW of Fort Wayne, I think). Wait.....OK, NE of Ft. Wayne (even better), also just off I-69:

I don't come here that often and only own part of a classic Benzo right now , but I would like to maybe drop in and learn a thing or two, depending on what date it is. Surely you fellas wouldn't mind if a Sprinter dropped by?

I think a bunch of diesel Benzs invading the Capri for a movie would be uber-cool: www.capridrivein.com

really, we would probably each take our main car.
Hey! I resemble that.

Oh, yah, I knew about the capri too..... Never really think of it much, hear about it on the radio all the time, and just passes my mind... I guess they're getting scarce now......

Yah, I knew about the Duesneburg Museum down in IN, in fact, I drove right by it on my way to pickup an ebay item from Brookville.... Don't know if they'd want an MB enthusiast crowd parked in their parking lot.......

Why doesn't everybody throw out a city they think would be a good meeting spot... I'll plot em all on a map and then post it so we can vote on it..... Sound good?

I've wanted to see a sprinter at a meetup for a long time! Will you drive us all around the block? (I've never gotten to actually ride in one! )

OK, if we are planning a GTG maybe some question need to asked to see what should be/can be done.
1. Who (is this to be a general GTG or is the to be a focus such as diesel Mercs for addicts like me?)
2. When and how long?
3. Where? (if the GTG is long enough that accommodations need to be considered)
4. Considering all of the above what would we do?
a. Drink all night.
b. Have maintenance lessons.
c. Invade into a small town with a mass of W123's like a group of bikers....I really like this idea.
d. Have a bone fire. (This could be done at my place.)
5. Other things.......
BTW in the little 'burg' of Montpelier, Ohio there are two restaurants. The buildings and setting may not be to the standards of some, the food is great. There is also a winery about 8 miles from there.
Here is the site to two of the places:
http://www.themaywoodrestaurant.com/
http://www.stoneyridgewinery.com
If planned we could have a dinner at the winery during one of there cook outs.

OK then......

I'll get to making some calls Monday and see what Coldwater has in the line of places to meet, etc....

I'm thinking a general MB GTG..... All MB welcome, but older MB & Diesel MB specifically are the targets....

I really like the "old-MB-convoy-into-town" idea!!

NO ALCOHOL!! Sorry.

I've wanted to attend a close GTG for a while now. 900+miles for the New England one is too much for me. If timing works out I will be there for this one.

I say we all meet at sandusky for a day, and then spend the night at a hotel and go to Cedar Point the next day.

Seriously though, I think even Fort Wayne is pushing it for me ... Anything north of Kokomo is more than 3 hours.

I like the idea of having a bunch of cities and voting.
