A BIG thanks to everyone who showed up. This event was a great success. I was glad to see some old faces, and new faces. Good food, good people, and good cars. Again, thanks for your support and I hope to see you all at the next get together.

Hi folks,

I am posting some pix of the gathering. First only cars without people or without clearly recognisable faces because I don't know if some of you are not comfortable with their pictures being posted on forum. I will post the rest of the pictures a week from today. If you don't want to have your picture posted, please email or send me a PM, so that I will make your pictures unrecognisable as I did with the number plates. But to me all of us are very photogenic , your pictures are very nice. So I hope you do not mind them being posted. Anyway as I said I am still delaying the posting for another week.

Personally I enjoyed the GTG very much. Great people, great cars.

Regards,
Texholdem

If you want to do it again this fall....

...check out http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/events-gatherings/196837-official-1st-annual-mercedes-shop-fast-lane-gtg-tech-session-tx-ok-la-ar-post1589869.html#post1589869 for an E. TX GTG October 27 & 28.

We made the Centerville GTG last year, and had a great time, but couldn't make it this year. So we thought we'd stage one with some tech sessions and help for those of us who don't have Mercedes Shop neighbors near at hand to help out, and add in some extra fun. Love to see all of you!!

If you can make it, please post on the link above.

N. Tex, E. Tex, or Central Tex?

Ah, the difficulties of living is such a big state!

Are you thinking of a repeat of the Centerville GTG? I guess I think of it as Central Texas, and certainly not North, as it's arranged by our Houston-based buddy, H-townbenzoboy.

Or are you thinking of a spring version of the fall GTG we had with Roy out here in E. Tex (in Mt. Vernon)? I know we discussed a spring version, but I just haven't had time to pursue it. Roy will not be available for several months, at least, though the shop we used has been cleaned up and organized, the big lift has been installed (in addition to the knee-lift we used last Ocotber), and would likely be available any weekend we want it.

So. What did you have in mind, hmmm???

The centerville get together was quite fun, It would be pretty cool to do something like this while it's still cool outside.
