If we can get a date set soon, my uncle will bring his 300CD. i've showed him pics of the last few meets and he really wants to come.

And I just gave my parts car to a friend as a birthday gift. we might have that on the road in time for him to join us as well.

I'd be up for it, never done a GTG before but it sounds like fun.
I need to check those dates out later, but it sounds good!

I may have to replace another fan clutch before then, the E300 recently developed a habit of roaring at high RPM.

For the suggested dates, the weekend of July 1st is good, but we're out of town the weekend of June 23rd.

I also know three other guys who may be interested (although they're not users here), all in the Sacramento area. One has a 1980 240D 4-speed, another has a '99 E300 (black, my car's twin, in my gallery pics), and the other has a '99 E300 (tan) and a 540i 6-speed with Dinan exhaust.

I have an uncle in San Jose with an '05 CLK55 AMG, black on black, unfortunatly he's very busy and never available...works for Cisco and all...

Once we went up to the Biofuel Oasis in Oakland, me in the E300 and him in the CLK55, the ladies looked at us like we wanted to buy the place, lol

I'm looking forward to the diesel drive, hopefully I'll be able to make it!

My Hungarian Indy mechanic friend Karl is NOT so computer savy and not reading our FORUM but I he's been talking about coming to the next GTG... to show off his 1957 190 MBZ [SL?] gasser... jet black with red interior !
He could easily hire that car out for Wedding Receptions just to drive up and drive it away! I'll do my best to bring him along [ in his '57 190SL(?)] !
