Well, it's a dry county, so that won't be too tough
They give you lemonade to drink. That place smells soooooo good.

I'm pretty close, and would be interested in a road trip. I'll keep an eye on the thread.

It is a dry county, but they got a variance on the law that allows them to sell whole bottles at the end of the tour. They are nice decorative bottles commerating medals won at earlier competitions.

Its kind of dreary this time of year. We just missed the leaves turning. Spring and Fall are the best times. But I must say, even when the trees are bare it is always nice to go for a drive in the country.

Any ideas on when?

Resurecting this thread

I'm bringing this back up again because spring is coming up soon. Spring is a great time for a visit.

May the 3rd in Lynchburg may be crowded. http://www.lynchburgtn.com/spring_in_the_hollow.html

Other events in Lynchburg:
http://www.lynchburgtn.com/bbqhill.html

May is probably a good time.

you can get air hits during the tour

the tour guide opens one of the vats in your face and you get a full blast of JD air...

I would enjoy it but probably could not make the drive unless it is July 28 or so when my Mrs. has a conference in Nashville.
