New England Winter GTG............March 9, 2008

Anyone interested in say late Feb early March?

Their is a really good state park on I95 near RI, I can't remember the name at the moment. I know we have had a couple their.

Since the SDL is in storage I have no clue as to what I'll bring, maybe I can borrow something or twist my friends arm and ride up with him.

So, what you're saying is that you want us to drag our a$$es over there and then you might not even show up???

Well, since I couldn't make the last GTG I guess I'm in. I have chains and I know how to install them.

Are you thinking about Colt State Park near Bristol? Perhaps incorporating a tour of the Newport Storm Brewery, followed by lunch nearby?

Given your description I'm thinking that's EXACTLY where it should be!

I will do the best I can and pencil it in once there's a date. I do have some business travel coming up and the kids are always a crapshoot but it sounds like a great excuse to me.

I'm ashamed to say that other than motor oil nothing will have changed on my TD since the GTG in MA last year. Actually it's sporting a couple of new badges so I have done something.

What am I that important? Me showing up to a GTG is a crap shoot anyway.

I'll go and I'll try to bring something decent.

Colt state park sounds good, how about some Sunday, how about March 2 or 9th, or possible Feb 24?

I'd probably come, especially if it was later in March so maybe we could be outside without freezing.

The response for these has been pretty weak over the last couple of years. We used to be able to get at least 2 in a year, now were lucky to get one.

I'd love to go, but I can never plan ahead. I don't get my work schedule until a week ahead, and I almost always work Saturdays, which is when the GTGs almost always are. New England is a little bit of a hike for me ... if I had normal weekends off, I'd be more inclined to try, but like I said, I usually work weekends.

Feb or March I should be able to do. Give a me a time and date and please don't do it on the Defender spring sale weekend! I'll bring a propane space heater..... The park in CT you are thinking of is Hammonasett State Park. I've been to one there and at Colt in RI. RT

Well, let's make it a sticky. I'd definately be there (wherever...) if we'd agree on any weekend except March 15/16, and that weekend would still be a 'maybe'. Maybe this 'maybe' would be even better because I have my friend from Germany over here so we could attend with two cars.

The 9th works for me.

Hammonasset also works.

Actually, just about anything works.
