Murdoc, did the 300D turbo get its new engine finished in Sacramento last weekend?

I talked to Justin and he didn't know anything bedyond what you had said here which was that it was coming to Sacramento this weekend.

Hope it will be done in time for Barbara to take to the Drive.

Interesting. I took real estate classes at about the same time. I attended the community colleges (Foothill, etc.) a little farther south, don't think I ever was at Canada.

Foothill represent. I'm taking my math and sciences there.

Jim, the junkyards are going to be dependent on time. It is a possibility, but also a bit of a drive from the endpoint on Skyline at 92. I'd say probably another 45 minutes or so to Newark. That will be played by ear. I'll draw up the finalized map now.

Driving Directions:

Start at
Canada College Lot 3
4200 Farm Hill Boulevard
Redwood City, CA 94061

Turn Right out of parking lot onto the Canada College loop
Turn Right at bottom of hill at stop sign
Turn Left on Canada Road
Continue Straight through Woodside Village. Canada Road turns into Mountain Home Road
Turn Right on Portola Road
Turn Left on La Honda Road (CA-84 West)
Continue Straight on La Honda Road through the stop sign at Skyline Blvd.

**OPTIONAL**
Turn Left on Stage Road in San Gregorio
Turn Right on Pescadaro Creek Rd.
Turn Right on Highway 1 (North)

Pull off Highway just Before San Gregorio State Beach
Continue on 1 North to Half Moon Bay
Turn Right on Main St
Turn Left on Kelly Ave
Arrive at Tres Amigos,
270 Cabrillo Hwy S
Half Moon Bay, CA 94019

Continue North on Highway 1
Turn Right on San Mateo Rd (CA-92 East)
Turn Right on Skyline Blvd (CA-35 South)

Total Distance: 40 Miles (55 with optional segment)

This sounds like a great drive and a great time. I'm doing everything I can so that I can drive "Freesil". That's a novel approach, drive a diesel on a diesel drive.
Well at least I know that the 12 Disc player works. Been Listening to Willie Nelson all morning! Haven't figured out how to get the disc i want yet, know where they are, but don't have a op manual for the radio or the disc changer...But it WORKS!

BTW I vote for the 14 mile addition to the drive if we can.

Ok im going to try my best to make it this time!! I will be bringing the C32 AMG and possibly my dads 78 300D. My poor 87 300D still needs an injector line

I have a dark (navy) blue front passenger seat from a W123 car listed in the parts for sale section of this honorable forum; I mention it here because I could deliver the seat to the diesel drive. I also have available the rear seat back (only) from the same car.

Since I'll be selling my 123 car, I'll have it at the Diesel Drive (unless it sells first) and probably will have a bunch of miscellaneous 123 stuff to sell or give away.

My wife and I will attend. We will drive the E300 1998 and leave the 1987 300DT at home this time. We will drive in from San Diego.

Will be good to see you. See post a few above for a good modestly priced hotel suggestion, that I road tested this week (I am writing from that hotel as we speak!!) It is a good one...
