You can fix every part of every Benz made anytime, anywhere, for any purpose by simply carefully wrapping the part. Here's how:

Step one: remove part to be repaired/replaced.
Step two: place part into suitable cardboard/reinforced box
Step three: Cushion the part from further breakage/harm
by inserting crumpled up $ 20 & $ 50 bills......

Hey, Run'em --

How come Sparky Deuce isn't in your signature? Need to get in and edit that -- let everyone know you've stepped up!

It looks like I pretty much need to work all weekend to hit a deadline next week. If I'm ahead of the curve on Friday evening I'll take a few hours to stop by and say hello on Saturday. I haven't yet been to the new Park Place location, would like to see it. My comment about money originated from the thought that they need us to pay for the new facility.

Location, location, location!

I noticed someone in Arlington said "...it's only half a half mile down the road..." or something like that.

This is being held at Park Place Dallas, at the southeast corner of Lemmon and Hagger Way.

Hope to see everyone there!!

Sunny

Sounds like fun! Honestly, I don't see why some folks are so intimidated by money, dress code, etc.. Unless you've come to steal some or don't bathe and come in your greasiest coveralls, I doubt they care less.

I would love to have the chance at seeing some of the old classics, especially a 170D. Most of all, I enjoy old cars that have been restored to near original and not those wannabe's with crazy paint jobs and supercharged,all-chromed engines under the hood.

BTW, I'll make plans on being there and hope to run across, ie. meet, some of the other forum folks.

Diesel inferiority complex...

That's got to be what's going on here!

The Dallas MBCA chapter has some cool folks, and their own set of gearheads, which is why they have a tech session at least every two months.

Yeah, there may be a few people who are too good to lift their own hoods, but not many, and who says we need to care?

Vintage cars, cheap food and drink, good music, nice people to meet -- what could be better?

Oh, well, there is one thing -- if you're an MBCA member, parts are wholesale and the parts desk is open all day Saturday.....!!

Moi?!?!?

Perish the thought.

People keep sending us Caraigslistings and eBay links and we keep saying, "no, thank you."

Well, mostly. I'm an adict, John's an enabler, but we're trying to do better. We're trying to back off from rescuing every 617 turbo out there!

But we'll come Saturday and admire any that show up, along with all the other lovely Benzes....

I believe I'm a "go" for tomorrow. Will most likely be in the white wagon. I won't be showing, or shining, but will certainly enjoy the cars of the folks that do. And, uh, I was kidding about the dress code. I think I will be wearing the shirt I got at Sunny's GTG though.
Whoa, must charge camera battery.
Looking forward to it......

Nice show for all

Run Em, Jimmy and Rashakor made it out. Good to see them. I even got a surprise visit by the wife and my new baby (soon to be a car show vet)!

Below are 1 shot leaving for the show and three shots at the show.

The CLK showed well, but not well enough to place.

The average person just can't fathom a car that is so clean. Everywhere!!! {well, except for the bird that snuck up and bombed the LR 1/4 panel. } He was robbed!!!!!!!
Nice looking family also, with a very tiny and sleepy future car polisher.

I talked to Run Em, and didn't even know I was talking to Run Em. Whoops.......

Thanks Jimmy. Just caught that. I was going to head over but had an opportunity to get the windows tinted after sleeping in. Did that and ran a few errands.

Sorry we missed you guys!

We got there in time for lunch and to hear the awards, but we didn't run into any of our crew but Max (Run 'Em).

All my fault -- John was helping me fix a couple of things the new-to-us 240, and we were so successful I decided to tackle something else, got involved in pulling the door panel, a rusty screw in the handle, yadayadayada.....finally looked at the time, and ran for the shower!

There sure were some "purty" cars there. And the Smart Car wasn't one of them!! Great burgers, too, 'specially for the price!!

Next time, guys!

Sunny
