Fall Central FL GTG/Tech Day........September 27, 2008
 

Well, some out there are itching for another gtg..

This time I want to do something else... How about a tech day?

I live in a subdivision and should be able to have access to allow cars to park on the grass behind my house ( my house is located behind the park). I have a good sized back yard for hanging out and grilling, wifi for shopforum access. Some tools.

Perhaps do some form of quick lunch, pizza or hams and hots and caravan after to a local place for dinner.( week before this I have my Delorean Club Tech day that I am planning and coordinating as well!)

Tentative date is September 27th, 2008. A Saturday. I still need to get the go ahead to have it here from my mom as well as the HOA prez to use the park for cars to park on the grass behind my house.


Those interested add your name to the list and spread the word to everyone else on the forum... I am always trying to outdo the last gtg. Plus I can have my personal mechanic come out as well for inspections and any questions you have. Everyone remembers Pierre

not far from my aunt's house in lakeland...
I may be able to come, bring some a/c tools/freon. perhaps do some valve adjusts and such while there... maybe by then I will have my 4 speed on the road, or perhaps gotten somewhere with the Euro TD...

Cool ... I'm having a GTG on the same day ... at least that's what it looks like so far. We'll have to check in on the forum during the GTGs and see how the other is going.:cool:

not to brag but.. Its looking like I might be selected as the Delorean Owners Association Chapter-6 FL president....


I tend to obsess over planning.. I'm the only part time stock clerk that gets the honor of doing planograms at the store( reset the shelves so you customers cant find crap)(I hate planograms)....


Anyways.. Lets make this a sweet event. Tomorrow I will go bother the HOA prez and outline what I'd like to use the park for. I might be able to also borrow a big ass grill and just do a whole pig as well as other fun things we mercedes benz owners like

I don't have a Delorean, yet... I'm just big in the club

the frame will rot due to its made out of epoxy coated steel, not stainless. You can get new frames made from stainless for about $9500

Only $9,000? Thats not too bad. Once you get one.. Do it! :D it will be a true time traveling (well, time resisting) Delorean.

no BTTF conversion for me.. maybe a flux capacitor to shut up the idiots that ask about.

well.. I hate to say this but... I am not going to be able to put one together this fall.. I've taken a look at my class schedule, work schedule, DMC related things, personal life, as well as some little bits of vacay and I really can't put together a gtg this fall...

If someone else is interested in picking it up go for it...

we can still do it, im down to organize. . .let me know if your interested. . . lets get that list going. . .

i might be able to make this one...i was planning a trip home to miami that week and could stop there on the way home... if only i can convince the wife to let me drive the benz... with no A/C :eek:

Last time I we drew 35 cars (if I recall correctly), the time before that we drew 27. Lets make this one the best to date, lets get that list strong.
