Mercedes Car Show Nov15th So Cal

It's on MB fanatics ! - Saturday NOV 15 - from 11am - 5pm

unfortunately, we will not be able to run track events on the airfield until 2009,
but in the meantime, we need to show that Mercedes-Benz has a presence in the SoCal car club world,
so bring your MB's to the Los Alamitos Joint Forces Training Base on November 15th !

Donations will be asked of you to help support US Military Service-Members,
through the JFTB Morale, Welfare & Recreation (MWR) Fund.
You know I've never asked for admission to a SAPRISSA MB event,
but this time we will be in a military facility and the least we can do is help our fighting men & women out.
Please bring some small cash to donate.

* NO ALCOHOL.
* NO burning rubber, racing, drifting, donuts, or blowing up engines.
* NO Weapons.
* NO pets.
* Military Police will be prosecuting any violators.

We will have some form of entertainment. Details to be posted later.
We will have some form of food cart or vendor. Details to be posted later.
We will have various vendors displaying and showcasing their goods.
We will have a raffle, with proceeds going to the JFTB MWR fund.

Vendors, if you would like to set up a booth at this event, please contact "MikeSSw203" on this forum immediately.
There is a minimal vendor fee, but you will find it extremely reasonable.
Only to cover our costs for trash services and Porta-Potties.
All extra funds will go to the JFTB MWR fund.

Looking for 3-5 volunteers to provide security "shifts" at the main gate. PLEASE !

Everyone save & print out a copy of the flyer in this post, and use it as your ticket to come in through the military front gate.
They will check at the front gate.
Hint: expired registration or driver's license or lack of proof of insurance is grounds for non-entry.

There will be caravans from various points in Southern California forming up to meet at the Los Alamitos JFTB.
The JFTB is located in Los Alamitos, CA. Pretty close to the 405 / 605 / 22 Freeway intersections.
Katella and Lexington are the main cross-roads.
I will post a google/yahoo map later on. The address is:

Joint Forces Training Base
4522 Saratoga Ave
Los Alamitos, CA 90720

Sign up list will start in a couple of posts down.
To register for the event, please include ALL information required.

Your "screen-name" / YEAR / MB MODEL (include variation) / MB CHASSIS / special notes

for example:

"SAPRISSA" / 2003 / C320 Sport Coupe / CL203 / AMG door pins

finally, the fine print.... by signing up for this event, the attendee (and their guests) expressly assume all risk incident to this event and agrees that all event participants, sanctioned bodies and all volunteers, employees, agents, officers, and directors of the JFTB, California National Guard, Armed Services of the United States, Department of Defense, and all sponsors, vendors, and organizers of this meet are hereby released from any and all claims arising from the event. For this event, you are a guest of the Commanding Officer. Any actions that may be considered disruptive to good order and discipline may result in the withdrawal of your invitation. As a military facility, all vehicles are subject to search under Federal law. Please obey all posted speed limits. The Base Commander, JTFB Los Alamitos sincerely thanks and appreciates the sponsors / vendors / and donors of this event. However, neither the Military nor any other part of the Federal government officially endorses any company, entity, sponsor or their products and services affiliated with this event.

The organizer of this event ("Saprissa") and JTFB Los Alamitos are not responsible for any items lost, stolen, or misplaced, and hereby assumes no liability arising from fire, theft, damage or loss of your vehicle or its contents.
myMBonline.com is merely a communications forum among a myriad of other online Mercedes-Benz enthusiast forums, and also assumes no liability nor is affiliated with this event.

No inference should be made that the vendor products or services offered at this meet have the approval of Daimler AG, Mercedes-Benz USA, or any other entity. The trade names and trademarks "Mercedes-Benz" "AMG" "Mercedes" "Maybach" "smart" and the three-pointed star in a circle are owned by Daimler AG.

Sign Up List procedures:

please include all required information:

your online "screen-name" (doesn't have to be from MBWorld - all Mercedes-Benz enthusiasts are welcome from all forums. However, it's nice to sign up on MBWorld and become part of our friendly community too !)

- YEAR
- Mercedes-Benz Model (include variation, ie: wagon, coupe, cabriolet, AMG, Special Edition, sport sedan, Kompressor, etc...)
- Mercedes-Benz Chassis (W203 / W124 / W451, etc...)
- any specialties (ie. Kleemann Stage 8, RENNtech stage, EVO stage, BLACK SERIES, special AMG / HWA one-off, etc...)

once you're signed up, please print a copy of the flyer attached to this thread and bring it with you to the meet. That's your entry ticket along with a small $ donation to the JTFB MWR Fund.

I will be at this one for sure. Even thought I don't have a hotel in the Buena Park/Anaheim area yet for it.

Amazing, over 125 cars will be there already. This should be a good one.

Jim, have you tried the Knott's Berry Farm hotel by any chance? Or any hotels near the area should be fine I guess. Anaheim hotels are much farther and I would guess, a bit more expensive due to being a more tourist friendly spot (Disneyland, etc).

Justin, if you're going I would still be the oldest car there (1983 300D) even if a fellow W123er with a 1984 would also be going.

We should do a photo with all the old chassis' lined up side by side. W114/5, W123, W124, W210, W211... etc. Same with the W108/9, W116, W126, W140, W220, W211... etc.

I just got back, it was nice to meet MBeige and Kadahar (sp?). Not as many cars as I thought there would be, but that's probably due to the fires.
