John in San Antonio
If I can get enough of you San Antonio guys to come this year, I may have to get you guys to set up a departure point of your own in the S.A. area so you guys can caravan down. Or, you can join up with the guys in Round Rock, it's all up to you.

I think I am gonna be too ashamed to bring my car up there, provided it would make it. I would feel awful bad if I caused a delay cause my car broke down. Are those pictures from last year? Are all those peeps Mercedesshop members?

The pics are from previous years including last year. Those are all people from various forums, though most of them are from MercedesShop.

Not all of us have those pristine examples of German steel so don't let that stop you. You will be glad you made the trip if you decide to. Promise......

I think this is where I chime in.......

Coda had a freshly broken headlight lens and peeling clearcoat. The interior was the only redeeming quality last year.

I am going to be in Texas at the end of June, so I may be able to make this.

OK, I'll start.

I bought this car last fall and the interior (dark brown, or Brazil Brown) seems to be a less common color so I don't know when I'll find this or where to look other than getting lucky in a junkyard.

It's missing the driver's-side plastic cover thingy for the bolt on the center driveshaft in the backseat area (the seat rail bolt?). It's pretty minor but that would make the interior almost perfect.

Of course my rear speaker covers shattered when I took them out but maybe I can somehow make something that will look better.

A note for those who are going to swap or buy parts.

If you buy parts from anyone at the meet or swap parts with anyone at the meet, you are doing so at YOUR OWN RISK. I want us all to have fun, but let me make it clear that I will not be held responsible for lost money, damaged or defective parts, potential harm, injury, or damage caused by parts acquired at the meet. PeachParts, BenzWorld, MBWorld, SLKWorld, MyMBOnline, MBCA, and any other discussion forums or organizations that have information posted or published about this event will also not be held responsible for lost money, damaged or defective parts, potential harm, injury, or damage caused by parts acquired at the meet.

Are you going to make us sign an injury waiver to participate in the GTG as well?
