I doubt that anyone will stop you from stoppping by and gazing upon the pontons. Not sure how many we'll have - hoping for double figures.

We'd like you pre-register so that we have an idea of the number of people coming so we have enough food, etc., but we won't turn you away. At least give us a notice when you're pretty sure you're going to attend.

That's right boys and girls - we're only a month away from the big event. Still time and room for more registrants. A link to the registration form can be found near the top of the Ponton Page, www.mbzponton.org.
We expect there to be a very special treat for all attendees to see. Rumor has it that a 220S cabriolet that has just undergone a two year major $$$$ nuts and bolts restoration will be there for the weekend for us to ogle over. We are trying to finalize our schedule of events. Here is a tentative schedule that could change slightly depending on input from those attending and/or other things that might pop up. Friday evening - Cookout (included with your registration fee) and get acquainted. Silent auction set up and explained. Give away a couple of door prizes. Saturday Silent auction, swap meet, EPC station, and literature stations set up all day/weekend long. Door prizes all day long. 9 - 10:15 - Welcome by Kevin. Heater valve rebuilding, cheap fixes and mirror repainting by Bob. Using the EPC (Electronics Parts Catalog) by Len 10:30 - noon - Becker radios by Ed Ebel and Tom Mitchell noon - 1 - non-working lunch (included with your registration fee) with time for browsing and BS'ing 1 - 2:15 - general discussion about what a restoration is and how to handle the surprises that come up during one by Dave Polny 2:30 - 4 - Brakes by a presenter to be determined. We are hoping Daniel from Belgium will do this one. Brake bleeding by a presenter to be determined. Demo a pressure bleeder on someone's car. 4 - 5 - owners talk about their cars, their history, what they've done, what needs to be done, etc. 5 -6 - Ponton cruise to dinner, taking the long, scenic route. 6 - ?? - dinner and whatever. Sunday 9 - 10:15 - diesel glow system by Bob shift linkage adjustment by Doug 10:30 - 11:45 - rematch of the 2005 starting contest. rest of the time up for grabs, i.e. general wrap up and questions, idle adjustment, carb synchronization. noon or whenever you must - make the break for home. Sponsorship contributions continue to come in. We will have a lot of things to give away, auction off, etc. So far we have donations from ***************, Dave Polny of 190SL Services, Mercedes-Benz of Monterrey, the Mercedes-Benz Club and Will Samples of S&S Imports. I also expect that something will be coming from the Classic Center and Miller's Mercedes. So even if you can't make our event, please keep in mind those individuals and companies that support us. Mention our ponton group when you do business with them so they know that their efforts were not in vain.
