Strippers Weekend in Frederick

OK need to start gathering people and pick a weekend to get this done.

For those of you that don't know, you will be the strippers.
Its time to get rid of my 81 300SD and 84 500SEC, but not before every last usable part has been pulled off of them, sorted and boxed. We will also be pulling the majority of parts out of the garage, organizing and boxing them up as well.

I'll be there, buddy! Are you cleaning up in preparation for the next GTG?

Hye Johnhef'''

Count me in...

Ohh, if I was closer, I'd drive up and give you guys a hand - unfortunately, I'm not in Gaithersburg right now

I would prefer to have my Cabrio back in case you decide to get carried away!

I will try to join you and help out. It will depend on the weekend you choose. Anyone who thinks raising kids is a challenge should try raising parents, aunts and uncles!! Wrenching on cars is a welcome relief, especially if you don't have to worry about actually fixing anything!!!

I'm good at taking things apart. I am, however, somewhat reassembly-challenged . . .

JMURiz 10-20-2009 01:11 PM

That sounds about like me...
I can't make it this weekend, have event going on Saterday and Sunday.

Good news though, I decided I couldn't sell my Benz for what I wanted, so I gifted it to my parents...so I'm still going to try and make some local Benz events.

I know you all are parting cars, but does anyone have a need for some old 14" steel wheels? (5 of em)

Dee8go 10-20-2009 03:08 PM

What kind? Bundts?

Johnhef 10-20-2009 10:13 PM

no... steelies, a la hubcap style.

pwogaman 10-20-2009 10:47 PM

Can we flip it on its side?

Dee8go 10-21-2009 08:32 AM

Are you going to try and save the glass from the SEC? I'd like to see how that comes out in case I ever get around to fixing the leaky rear window on the Dee8gonator.

Thanks for answering for me.
I tried to contact the guy on the GWS page that was looking for wheels but had no response...I'd hate to toss them in the trash, ya know.

Have fun stripping cars this weekend, hopefully the weather cooperates.

Is it scheduled for THIS weekend?

HA ! That is funny.

When is this gathering? Sounds like fun. I had wanted to meet John some time anyway.
