I'll put my name down right now for this.

I always have the best time on the GTG's that you and your brother put together.

And tell me - - - how do you find these people with the unusual collections?

I think he is kidding. Actually, I am a member of AMICA (Automatic Musical Instrument Collectors Association). Most of the recent events that we have organized were centered around the instrument collections (the Route 66 & Speedway Cruise being the exception). This time we will be seeing probably one of the finest collection of American (sorry Mr. Benz) sports cars on the planet! They are all "Petersen" quality (as in Petersen Auto Museum). You won't want to miss this one!....Rich

Thumbs up I Hope !

To be in town ! .

If I can get the tie rods & tires done on the front of the TD , you'll like it (I think) .

Otherwise I'll hopefully have finished struggling with the poorly designed and incorrectly assembled new URO brand grille I bought and the Coupe will look better . so far all I have is a bunch of grille parts scattered about as I try to assemble the new plastic into my old steel shell .

This sounds like fun ! .

Question What

No one else is coming ? .

I'm still hoping to have the TD ready but chances look poor , my trusty Coupe will of course be ready with it's spiffy rebuilt grille .

I'm going to plan on making it, as long as it's not raining. (Seems as every car I have leaks right now). Maybe find a hotel the night before in Malibu so that I can make it on time in the morning.

This really is not the "Roll Call" thread. One will be made soon and everyone can sign up there.

Your 280SE limo leaks? That's a surprise.

Other than the new Hayden aux fan I had installed, I finally replaced the windshield and had a new gasket installed.

Also replaced the 12 year old blackwall Michelins with new whitewall tires.

Hey Paul,

Hate to say it... but the sunroof started to leak on the limo. The W113 car doesn't rally leak much, but I hate driving it in the rain.

Which tires did you get for the Red Baron?

Bummer about the sunroof leak. I guess I'm fortunate mine doesn't have one.

Because you gave a bad report on the Kumho's, I went with the 205/75r14 Hankook Optimo H724, and they ride magnificently - they track straight, and they're quiet.

Post Sunroof Leaks & Tires

It's almost certainly the drains , clean them out with soft fluffy rags and a medium stiff wire or blow the drains up from below whilst your helper holds a clean rag to catch the muddy dust that'll come flying out...

I'm using Michelin tires now , so far I'm tearing up the pavements , even in the rain....

I don't think I'll make this drive, although it sounds like a good one. Just a little bit too far on the wrong side of LA and going further north, etc.

Besides, the wagon needs brake work and I am working on refurbishing an "optional accessory" that I recently picked-up. Would like to get all that done before driving it to an event.

Driving the 240D that kind of distance, on the hwy, just seems like not much fun...

Hi Count us in.

My Girlfriend from the UK is visiting and loves to take this type of drive.
We will probably join you at Topanga Canyon and PCH.
