I thought so too, but it seems from htownbenzboy's post like he was eating BBQ in texas yesterday with htown and his pop.

Maybe he can clarify, reads to me like Miguel is visiting Texas at the present moment. I feel like we are playing a game of "Where in the world is Carmen Sandiego"

Miguel is here on business at the moment. The 300GD is the first vehicle he's importing here to the US as part of his new vehicle importing business. It arrived here via ship by way of Galveston or Texas City.

No, he's traveling in Texas, just now, for his import business. (see his "This European Life" blog and also, post #777 hereinabove...)

Yep, I am in Texas for business at the moment; and I –finally– had the pleasure of meeting H-townbenzboy, two years later after having an unfortunate goose chase because we all left our phones at home... *facepalm*. I am still so sorry for that!

Budget is über-tight at the moment because I am betting it all on the new venture, so I really cannot afford to visit all the people I wish I could in both coasts!

He's in Spain at present. I hope he can be back here by the fall for an extended visit - or more. He has many friends among us, all over the country.

I can only stay 90 days at a time, and maybe I'll stop by to do business in Pebble Beach and pick up some of my equipment. I will get notified on the status of my Green Card application on May 1st.

Well, good luck with that! I know the job situation in Spain is not good. I keep hearing that the European economy is finally starting to grow again, so hopefully that will begin to improve. If you find yourself in the Washington area and need a place to crash, you're always welcome at Casa Dee8go.

I don't think Miguel needs a place to "crash", he has experienced that before

Ha ha ha! Yes, that was an unfortunate choice of words . . . Pardon the unintentional pun, Miguel . . .
