Best to let Hattie pick the restaurant as he knows the area better.
If you guys want we could probably meet up at the parking lot at exit 40 than head to a restaurant, would be easier for you guys since you really don't know the area.

Let me know what you want, I think the Seven Seas would be a good spot for a burger and a beer.

Haha or you could just give us the address of the place
16 New Haven Avenue Milford CT

(By 'knows the area' I was referring to picking a good place, not geographical expertise When the British invade New Haven again we'll give you a call for setting up defensive positions )

Hello everyone,
Sorry I have not answered in a few days! I am done with all the school workload, and I am ready to receive my diploma. This is it. This is the wonderful beginning of the rest of my life. I will skip the silly graduation ceremony and just absorb as much as this country as I can in the following 20 days after May 20th. Newport is getting some AC work done and should be ready by the end of the week for the PA test-run and trailer retrieval. I will make sure to take some good pictures!

@Jgranzier:
Thank you very much! Let me know if you need to do anything around the house or have someone interested in art/Spanish lessons!

@Hattie and Fulcrum
: Fantastic! Can't wait to meet both of you. There's nothing like a classic American dinner with (not one) TWO diesel diehards.

@AquaticEdge: It should take me a week to end up down in FL. I will come up with a more concrete schedule soon.

@Dee8go: I do not know if my material would be good enough for a coffee table book, but I swear one day I will go from Anchorage to Buenos Aires. Then, that will become a book. For now, all I can aspire for is having a good time, leaving a nice diary behind, and hopefully inspiring more people to discover W123s as the wonderful travel machines they are!

@Gatorblues: sure, why not? I always love to drop around the old town, but unfortunately parking is VERY VERY tight, especially with a teardrop in the back... ughh.

I will start getting philosophical very soon. The entries will be both in Newport's Blog (300td.blogspot.com) and this forum. Now it's time to start packing my scarce possessions and thinking on road trip food besides beed jerky. Hah!

Okay! After a lot of thinking and research, here's my schedule...

FRI, MAY 20th
-Departure from Providence, RI.
-Meeting Hattie and Fulcrum!
-Spend the night in CT.

SAT, MARCH 21st
-Departure from CT to NJ.
-Meet LaughingGravy, maybe lunch?
-Drive down to South PA and meet Chad300td and TBOMachines
-Meet and stay with jgranzier in Baltimore

SUN,MARCH 22nd
-Departure from Baltimore to VA
-Meet Ramonajim and Dee8go!
-Have the best Bing-Soo in the world.
-Stay in VA with either... hard to decide!

[Maybe after VA I will visit the West Virginia Hospital for the Insane. It's a truly stunning building. That will take a full day off the schedule]

MONDAY, MARCH 23rd
-Departure from VA/WV
-Meet BenHogan!
-Stay in Oak City, NC.

TUESDAY, MARCH 24th
-Depart Oak City
-Drive cross-state to Lake Santeetlah
-Relax at the lake ALL DAY LONG!

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 25th
-Departure from NC, on to Georgia!
-Visit the PeachParts Central in Atlanta, GA (holistic pilgrimage?)
-Drive to the GA border (Lake Park)

THURSDAY, MARCH 26th
-Departure from GA, moving on to Florida
-Arrival to Tallahassee, meet AquaticEdge
-Stay in the coast (Panama City)

FRIDAY, MARCH 27th
-Departure from FL
-Meet Gatorblue in MS, maybe go down to New Orleans
-Stay in MS for the night

SATURDAY, MARCH 28th
-Departure from Mississippi
-Drive to Texas
-Pre-GTG on Sat/Sun (?)

So this is what I have! It is organized according to what I have a minimum of certainty about. Anyone got any clue about any members in the SouthWest? New Mexico and Arizona are going to be pretty blank!

I'm guessing you accidentally put "March" instead of "May" in your itinerary after CT, or are you planning to drive fast enough to go back in time two months, thus extending your trip?

It doesn't really have a Krypton Drive. I just made that up. That would, as anyone would know, be a 300 TDK . . .

So what would a 300TDK be called if it was also equipped with a turboencabulator?
