the 3rd Annual
"So Cal Summer Coastal Cruise"
Saturday August 27th 2011

This year will be a little different:
We will have two starting points - The North group will start at STARBUCKS COFFEE in Malibu, drive South along the coast (as much as possible)
to meet at FLETCHER JONES MOTORCARS in Newport Beach.
Michael C. will lead the South group from STARBUCKS COFFEE at the Carlsbad Outlets and drive North along the coast (again, as much as possible)
to meet the North group at Fletcher Jones.
From there we will drive a short distance to Durty Nellies for lunch.
After lunch, another short drive will take us to Crevier Classic Cars.

As always, ALL Mercedes Benz automobiles are welcome, however we would like to see more older vintage Benz's on the cruise, so invite your friends.

Start waxing the old Benz and mark your calender for the fourth Saturday in August!!!

I will be driving the newest addition to the collection: 1982 300CD Pick-A-Part save.





My brother (imdji) saw it at P-A-P the day before it was to be "drained" (all fluids drained, fuel tank removed, exhaust cut out). We made an offer, and it was accepted. We were going to sell it and split the profit when it was done, but I have put too much money and time into it to make that worthwhile. I found that the engine was bad, so I replaced it with a good used one. I just got the title in the mail today (salvage). Both the interior and body are in great shape, and cleaned up nicely. There are only a few small cracks in the dash by the defroster vents (hardly noticeable), and one dent by the driver side corner light. I put "NEW" (new spares from wrecking yard cars) bundt wheels on it and decent Michilin tires. The car runs great and I hope to enjoy it for many years.

Nate "VWNATE" has a nice 79 300CD for sale, even the A/C works.......
