Photos from the East side of the Cruise

The Summit Inn put our event flier on the front door:

The whole gang ready to head out:

I saw this car driving in town the other day, so I followed it to the drivers home. I introduced myself, and invited him (Jim) to the Cruise. He was not able to go on the drive, but brought his car to show anyway. He has a beautiful '67 300SE (less than 300 made worldwide):

He had a Euro plate made with the CA lic. No.:

A few photos of the Cruise along Rt.66:

I saw this on the road, and could not resist:

Photos from Toyota Speedway at Irwindale

We arrived at the speedway and were escorted into the paddock area where we were parked in a line (Sorry, I have no photos here. I am sure someone else will post some). Before the racing, the fans are invited to go out on the track to view the cars. The divisions that were racing were the Bandolero's (entry level car for ages 8-14. Cars powered by a 2 cyl B&S Vanguard engine (sealed) producing 30 HP):

Legends (5/8 scale cars patterned after 30's & 40's cars powered by a Yamaha 1250 cc engine):

Sport Trucks (all powered by a GM Crate engine), Super Stocks (commonly called the "Camaro Class), and last but not least, the "Skidplate" race cars. These cars are all front wheel drive, with the rear rims chained and welded to a steel plate. These are fun to watch!

A few photos of some great looking 123's and on the track:

The big question is WHERE THE DEVIL WAS NATE?!

Anyway, here are the best pictures I took. One of them is a panorama I photoshopped together... good addition to MBEG's website!
