I'm running a one day track event at NCCAR that is sponsored by the MBCA. It is open to all kinds of cars and I'd love to see you guys out on the track.

On July 19, 2014 the Virginia Section will host a High Speed Driving Event on North Carolina’s Center for Automotive Research’s road course. This road course is ideally situated off I-95 in Garysburg, NC and features a 40 feet wide bi-directional freshly paved road course with a ½ mile straightaway, 11 constant radius turns and large grassy run-off areas. There is no competition for times or trophies but a lot of fun to be had. Virtually any car is fully capable of handling this type of event.

There will be a full day of track time and classroom instruction with 4-5 sessions. This event will fill very quickly, so you will need to place your entry soon. The price for this full day at the race track is $99 for MBCA members and $149 for non-members.

We were just talking about track days and other events at our MBCA meeting last Saturday. If this event happens again, I'll try to get a couple together from our section to come out.
