Northern California Shop Day 10/11/14

Hello!
I've been busy, so I apologize about not posting this sooner.
I talked with Mike, of Drobot Diesel Performance in Sacramento, and its official, we have an open shop day on the 11th of October!
Mike is a diesel tech by training, but is a huge Mercedes fan! His shop specializes in diesel engine repair, but he'll also accept any Mercedes.

The shop is located at 6315 Watt Ave #116, 95660

https://www.google.com/maps/place/6315+Watt+Ave+%23116,+North+Highlands,+CA+95660/@38.681749,-121.3839176,215m/data=!3m2!1e3!4b1!4m2!3m1!1s0x809ad8912032af71:0x5f4f4aadd3f44072

The meet will start at 9:00AM and go until 4:00PM

We will try and get everyone car up on the lift for you to have a great view of all the work you'd done in your driveway If you have any tech questions Mike (owner and tech) and Derek (tech) will be on hand with words of wisdom, as well as the rest of us weekend warriors!

I'll be bringing my BBQ grill and we can grill in the parking lot.
Bring your own meat! And any sides you may like. This will be a very informal pot-luck. If you want to bring some food to share that would be great! There is no official time for lunch. Bring a cooler of your favorite beverage. No drinking and driving!

Rich, the event your commited to sounds like fun! I'm sure we'll have another shop day down the road. Mike, the owner, loves these kinds of things, I met him at a local Mercedes get together a few years back. He's been wanting to host a meet at his shop for a while now. So I'm sure this will be the first of many

I would love to come. If it's really hot that day I will take the air conditioned Red Plum or the BMW then. And hope to ensure a good welcome for folks with dessert (or some salad if I can coax Charla - my fiancée now - to bring some from in from Nevada.)

(Or whatever you ask. Maybe you could ask for a list of the side dishes or beverages you'd request each attendee to bring. Just a thought. Your events are *NOT* to be missed, Nik!)

Hey Guys,

This still happening? If so, will you guys have a grill there? I can bring some hot links and buns, unless folks are vegetarians.

We will be there, what side Dish do you want, Blond, Brunet or Redhead?

We are a Nevada resident now (As of 10-01-14) and still have our foot on each side of the border for a while. LOL But we will be there.

We will bring a Salad and maybe a Cake (home made). We`ll bring along some Salmon Patties to throw on the BBQ. We can bring extras if any one want`s some. I`ll get some Dry Ice to keep them froze. And some Buns, Horse Radish, and some of my Wife`s Pick A Lilly. What`s Pick A Lilly? You will have to show up to see. Good stuff.

Not sure what vehicle we will be in, Ford Diesel PU and Trailer with a load of junk ahhh er... Treasures. LOL or the 240D.

Charlie

Hi everyone, I am planning on bringing homemade coleslaw, some sourdough bread, and baked beans or chili.

I look forward to wrenching on 'Desert Rose' under expert guidance. Switching out the exhaust manifold for the pyrometer install is a tiny bit outside my comfort zone at this time. Hopefully, it will go smoothly.

See you all on Saturday,

Alec
