Thumbs up NEgtg

early sunday morning. upon just typing a somewhat lengthy entry and saying hello and comments about each and every ride at Hammonassett, i was referencing back to some of the previous posts for correct handle spelling etc. and all of my jabbering was deleted upon attempting to return to the response. gosh darn! briefly, Holson, nice ride. my son, Max seems to think that he is going to NEED a 123 coupe! those 124 wheels really do modernise the look of the 123. nice photo of my derrierre. wow, almost lost the info again>not the most computer savvy. Jim Smith and son: nice, nice, nice! always loved those 190 2.6 hot rods..........i still would have enjoyed a similar version in the 124 series! speaking of which, upon looking back at other posts, i bet that your 88 300e 5 SPEED must b a lot of fun to throu into the corners. 84300DT, nice ORIGINAL paint and very smooth "sewing machine" idle. that car has the ability to last MANY MANY MORE YEARS! Turbodiesel, that limo was made for screaming down the highway>>>i, myself could have just enough room to LIVE in the back seat of a long wheelbase 126.....kudos for the distance traveled. rwhomas1, truely a BEAUTIFUL 300d!! the anthracite paint with the black tex is a particularly asthetic combination>>>i have been enthralled with a gorgeous SILVER with BLACK LEATHER 300d and see extremely few (if any) of those. by the way, your wife was very nice and appeared to be having a good time at the event when she wasn't soaking up the interior HEAT. triffin, allthat i can say, is that if i had an automobile like yours, i would never carry our dripping salty, sandy kyaks on top and i would probably be traveling cross country at above legal speed limits. best wishes always, and i will refer back to the other posts to see whom i have missed. Leathermag> all thatr i can say is that i live by the old time rule of "DON'T MESS WITH TEXAS"........haven't been there since the early 1970's when the family was traveling down into deepest darkest Mexico thru Monteray. that was the first extended tripin the "home" that i was able to bring my DIRTBIKE along..(just PURE heaven). spo out!

Hey Guys,

Great get together, sorry I was a little late and missed a few of you. My two sons are participating in the FIRST Robotics event at their highschool and we had to extract ourselves from that and then go back for a few hours on the way home. I figured the two MB's at the light leaving the park as we arrived had to be Diesel group members either out joyriding the cars or leaving to get to other chores.

I didn't get too many photos with my digital camera before it ate the batteries, but my regular camera has a few on the film to be developed. I will post them when they arrive. Glad to hear from Spo123, sounds like you made it to New Haven without any problems.

Holson, it looked to me like you were keeping up pretty good. Glad your trip back was without incident too. That can be a tiresome battle if 495 is plugged with traffic.

The meet was Pete's first experience meeting people from the site and he was pretty impressed with the age spread and broad range of backgrounds, all hooked on MB Diesels. I am sure he will be posting once he gets on-line later today.

I second the suggestion we get together there again, just a little later in the year when it isn't so cold. Even though the group fell back from the beach (nothing to slow the wind down there!) the temperatures were in the 20's without considering windchill, and it remained pretty breezy.

See you then, Jim

Just got back, 196 miles each way.
It was nice meeting everybody, I had a great time. Rob, tell your wife thanks for the great food and hope we can all get together in the spring.
I hope it's warm enough tomorrow so I can wash my baby and put her back in the garage.
Take care
Tom
