Yeah, Mystic Aquarium is real easy to get to, right off rt95 in Eastern CT. Its about 30-40minutes for me so I could easily scout it out, provide directions, etc. if needed. Likely you could get the same from their website too.... Few restaurants around too as well as Mystic Seaport museum if you are into old wooden boats. Recommend that if we use this location we do it before the spring as it gets a little busy there once the weather breaks. I'm up for it. RT

mystic is a cool place and i think the town and seaport is not far from the parking lot you mention which is right off I95.

if you're talking about that place maybe a few spouses or significant others may be tempted to attend

I agree let's do this before Spring. Any weekend is good for me. Especially before things pick up in school.

Actually, I was going to suggest Hammonasset state beach park in CT near Madison. It has very large parking lots which would probably be pretty empty in late winter/early spring. I believe entry is free during the off-season.
It is 1 mile south of Exit 62 from Route I-95. http://www.friendsctstateparks.net/parks/hammonasset_beach.htm

Mystic is a bit of a tourist trap...

I must agree. Hamonnassett is a really great place to have a gathering. There is no fee for parking in the off season like winter. Let's setup a date for the gathering! Can everyone make it to Hamonnassett ?

Wow, 134 mi. out of Boston. I wonder why Mapquest doesn't just tell me to go on 95 out of Boston straight down to CT.
