My Best Recipe

I have seen documentaries about people who swim in cold water... like swimming the English Channel....

They put thick grease on all their exposed skin area.....

So I have worked up a great potion for you guys...

One pint tub of wheel bearing grease
One tube Bronzing Cream....

mix well and spread over all exposed skin....

This combination has the added advantage of making you look like you spent the weekend in Bermuda....

Should I bring anything guys?

damn... 28F better 'winterize' myself...

Anyway...
So, we'll have 123's and 210's?

BTW, there is a substantial group of factory outlet stores off I-95 just 1 exit east (north) of the Hamonasset exit for any wives/girlfriends who might possibly prefer powershopping to standing in a windswept parking lot watching old motorheads grease themselves

This is great.
Holson, you will like your twin. She is in mint condition. All original, even the paint.

hehehe I hope my car doesn't become jealous :p It probably won't but I will hehehe...

well you know who to sell it to when you feel like it (Probably not in a million years... )

all original ... makes me want to put those bundt wheels back hmmm... but I'd rather repaint them first. Maybe I'll just get a few cans of silver and quickly repaint them...

Thumbs up NE gtg

hello, to all you diesel freaks out there! after about 2 years of viewing this and other mercedesshop forums, I have entered my first "chat forum". the NE gtg is what has prompted me to join in two way discussion. saturday jan 11 has to be a travel day to the New Haven area> I just CAN NOT miss any sort of diesel meet! probably traveling with my 14 year old son...eventually, he will be driving>bit by bit , he may get into a 240d with a stick. he says only a turbo, however, the meaning of a dollar and how to WORK for a living are just beyond his grasp. This forum is THE BEST!!!! my 85 300d and I both thank you all. with a little bit of luck, I will become an active participant. thank you ALL so much...see ya'll saturday.

Thumbs up NE gtg

ok, gentlemen, and I do believe that most of the responses are from guys, so perhaps this term is appropriate. lunchtime out in the bitter cold wind of the sound on saturday sounds fun....in a kind of strange way. balmy and in the 50's is NOT going to be the case. what kinds of provisions will be in order? I don't think that we willbe able to have fire in grills...possibly any gas grills? Steak tips and beer are always a good combination. or is this going to be more of a "check out the oil burner rides" typeof gathering with mostly HOT coffee and snacks>either works for me.

Triffin... are you going to be there earlier than 1pm. I'm curious because I'd meet other members earlier there, say 11am. I have to be in for work at 4pm back in Newington.

Triffin, Since I think you are being funny about the really long extension cord for the block heater.... I suggest NONE of yall turn your engines OFF at the meet... it would just be TOO Embarrassing for some of the get together cars to have to be towed home...They use almost no fuel at an idle anyway....keep the interiors toasty also...
