SoCal Dragstrip Visit on 3/19
Hey everyone,

BergWerks is heading to the Palmdale dragstrip, otherwise known as L.A. County Raceway (www.lacr.net) on Wednesday 3/19 to test some of the performance chips available for the M119 motors.

It's not really a formal event, but it'd be fun to have as many MB's out there as possible. We were the only ones there last time and it'd be nice to outnumber the ricers.

It's a Grudge Night, open to all comers. $15 for driver and car, $5 for spectators. Gates open at 5pm, arrive around 5pm to get through tech insp. quickly. Racing starts around 6pm and goes to 10pm. It's busiest from 7-9pm.

Make as many runs as you want and have time for (depending upon how many cars are there). We ran 15 times last time and could have done more, but that's more than we'd recommend for tranny fluid temp anyways.

Tech inspection is minimal. Just answer some questions, look under the hood and check for seatbelts. It's a great, fun way to enjoy your MB without the challenges of a full track event.

MB's run against other imports. Mostly Hondas and Toyotas and the occassional VW, Audi and BMW. Our stock 500E was among the fastest imports there so don't be concerned about bringing a stock car. I guarantee you there will be plenty of slower cars (i.e., old police cruisers, etc.)

Check the weather before you go. It can be freezing cold and windy up there. Rain cancels the event. We'll find some place in the gathering area to group the MB's depending upon how many show up.
