NE GTG a major sucess!

With eleven particpants, the NE GTG at Colt State Park was a success! The "infamous" Oskar (as Triffin put it) was there along with Holson Adi's marvelous 300CD. Triffin and Triffin Jr. both had their beautiful E300 Diesels in attendance. RWThomas had his amazing 300D Turbo, circa 1984 which I had the joy to drive. Hamgunner left the "D" at home, and brought his amazing 560SL. Agplate had his big SD there, making an awesome appearance. Spo123 had his amazing 300D with bike rack and all, and his son seemed to appreciate the diesels as well. There were a few other, but in the swirl of fun I have forgotten the names. I remember someone with a green 300D Turbodiesel, and someone with a sister 240D with an automatic transmission. All and all it was an awesome time. Post the pics!

A perfect day, and a great turnout!

Yep, I had a lot of fun too. Most of the gang from the "polar" CT gtg were there and some new faces too. I hope this catches on. Lots of great conversations, troubleshooting tips, and general BS'n going on. I say we wait about 2 months for it to really warm up and we do this again, maybe in MA or some other NE state? I really don't care where, I just enjoy the chance to get out and cruise in my MB. Jim and Bob, sorry I didn't get to say goodbye but I was out cruisin' in Kyle's 240. Just had to test drive a 240 stick to see what all the fuss the Texans make over 'em is about. I must admit I liked it. Would certainly be hard to pass up a nice one if it comes along. Thanks for the drive Kyle! LarryBible may be right, there sure is a lot of room to work on a 240..... Post the pics guys! RT

Last, I just wanna say that I had a really good time. The town was beautiful, everybody looked relaxed and people were friendly. Amazing.... (I live in the city.. so I found it to be a really nice change)

and Thanks to everyone for sharing everything!

Especially to Hamgunner for letting me take the gorgeous 107 Roadster for a spin!
It doesn't look too bad as an addition to my diesel ;)

Yeah we definitely should have another one in Summer. Perhaps in CT again. Actually anywhere is fine. I just really like driving this beast. I prefer small towns again so there are other people too..

Holson ..

Nice Dog !!!!!

I've got to ask ..
Are those pics less than 60KB or
are they actually 'hosted' somewhere
else ?? I took mine on the highest resolution
setting for my camera but then had to "shrink"
them to a tiny size to post to the forum .. as
you can see  .. Just curious/jealous
as your pics are great .. Thanks .. Looks like
everyone is having fun .. I know I did .. and
thanks again everyone for making the effort to attend :D

Jim in Ct ..

stopped in Watch Hill RI for sunset ..
I'll host a gtg here when it warms up somemore ..

I get *i think* 2MB to post on the school's FTP server. Since I don't have a personal website I just use it to post pictures :p

They are at least 100kb.. :p sorry dial up users.. but im sure ud like to see these cars in high resolution ;)

Looks like a great meet. Sorry I didn't make it.. I really didn't feel like driving for 7 hours and 500+ miles today. Maybe next time.
