Too many GTG's? NE GTG "Mid Summer"...

Think this is a good idea?

I really enjoy the GTG's alot. I think maybe we should have a mid summer GTG. I am not sure when really, because now that I am working my hours change we by week. But if you guys can come up with more ideas of places to hold one, I'd like it. Riverside Park was good last time. Maybe something in the middle this time..for the Boston folks and the like?

We New Jersey guys would like to come also. I believe the NE extends down to us. NE is something like Maine to NJ. Delaware starts the Middle East. Georgia starts the South etc.

Keep us in mind when you plan. I've been to Montauk, Block Island, Watch Hill, Riverside Park, Bar Harbour, Newport, Boston, Mystic. All nice places.

Mid Summer sounds like a beach GTG. Keep us posted.

Regards,

Joe & Josh

I think it's a great idea! Since it's hot out I'd most probably not drive the diesel anywhere far as it gets pretty uncomfortable when it's hot.

I suggest a coastal location, the coastal wind would be nice!

My mom lives in Whispering Pines, NC. I'll be going there this weekend to bring her to NJ for the summer. She has a house in NJ also. I'll be taking Amtrak on Friday and driving back on Saturday in her Celica. Mom is 88 so I don't want her to drive long distances anymore. I get nervous about short hops also but she is very agile for her age and the independence does her good.

We stayed in Corolla on the outer banks two years ago on vacation. I stayed in Hatteras and Okracoke years ago in my single days. Have not visited the mountains of NC yet.

Yes NC has some great areas for a GTG.

Joe.

Summer GTG's must be coastal...Watch HIll, CT or NJ shore. Carolina's are great but it's an overnight, NJ has tons of traffic....CT and RI are nice.

Talking summer gtg

Sounds like another gathering is in the worx

I bet that I could get the Black Bomber into travel mode. Maybe even with a WHOLE bottle of redline in the tank.

I will be getting married and would HATE to not attend. I respectfully request sometime after the 3rd week of july.

Anyway, it would be another fun time....

Holson, we need to let my fiance check out the cd.

Bob, how was gloucester? I should have made more of an effort. Very busy with work and the upencoming event

Keep 'em hot and under 100!

Spo out.

the weather has been great!!! We should definitely have some "rain" dates.

I'm going back home (Jakarta, Indonesia) for a month from July 17th to August 15th. Hopefully I won't miss it! I love these GTG's!

nobody else can understand why I love this diesel so much!

luck has it... the 300CD got rear ended today!!!!

another mercedes rear ended it at some 5-10mph I'd say. I felt the bump quite well. I was standing on the brake too (thank God otherwise I would've hit the guy infront and maybe tear off his bumper) behind some cars at a traffic light. I saw the C-Class coming (W203) and BAM... it was really LOUD... thought the bumper was bent or something.

now I have some dealer's name inscripted in the rubber part of the bumper (from the license plate frame).

that's all though - the 203 bent the hood a lil, cracked the grille, broke some plastic pieces, lost the license plate and its bracket.

quite a tank these 123s!!

all is well
