Craig,

I am planning to be at the intersection of the 405 and the 110 more or less at 8:30, probably we can meet from there... I would like to leave a little earlier than that, but must drop something at the Post Office on my way...

Let me know and I can PM my cell #

I'm planning on being at Meguiar's at 8:30. I might try to make the car show at 7:30.

See you there Craig, I'll try to get there before 9:00... Yahoo maps says 54 minutes from my place to Irvine... somehow I have to make it in 1/2 of that time... let's see if it's possible

Thumbs up Going the extra mile

Just wanted to thank Mike Philips and Meguiars for their generosity and for hosting this event for us.

I'm certain many of us walked away from this GTG with a greater knowledge of achieving the perfect finish. Others walked away with the ability to revive/restore their paints finish which is invaluable when holding on to an older MB.

I'll post a few before and after shots later today for everyone to highlight the day.

Mike thanks again and thank you everyone who came out and made this a worthwhile event. Looking forward to the next one!

I third that. Was a really good time.

Thanks to Mike for hosting the event. It was nice to see members I havent seen in a long time, and meet new ones. I think I know what products my car needs now. Next project is the boat polish/wax.

Can't wait for the next one. Whose got pictures?

Afshin-I'm sneaking over to your house and rolling that 500E our of your garage when it's raining.

I fourth that.

This was my second time to attend this event at Meguiar's with Mike Phillips, and I learn something new everytime.

This time I walked away with understanding the concept of achieving your paint's maximum potential, whatever it may be.

It's always a delicate balance of removing all of your paint's defects vs. buffing out all of your car's clear coat / paint.

It was interesting seeing the difference between the DACP (dual action cleaner polish #83) vs. Speed shine #80, etc.

I'll go to another one if we have it.

Once again, thanks Mike. You're a heckuva nice guy and a certified car nut!

Mike Philips is the MAN!!!! I have never met anyone who loves his job so much. He really does go the extra mile and seems to know everything that can be known about the exterior of a car. We should all contact his boss and tell him to give him a raise!

Rain, what rain?! I'll make a note when it finally does rain to keep a close eye on the 500 just in case you get any funny ideas. :p

Here are a few shots taken throughout the day.
