any in midwest?
 

Does anyone have any g2g's in the midwest? It doesn't seem that there are ever any. Then again, it also seems that there aren't that many members from the midwest.

I'm game for a meet in the midwest. Although springtime would be better.

There was talk a while ago about a Chicago meet or something, but nothing ever came through, I think...

There was a Chicagoland kid who visited the board from time to time and got one together 2 summers ago, if memory serves me correctly. It sounded like most who attended owned modified Mercs for the most part.

Gilly and I were going to shoot down there, but it turned out to be a busy weekend for me.

I usually get the GTG together. HA! This year we had four I think. Towards the end of the summer we started going to Downers Grove IL. for their Friday night cruise. We got the BMW CCA club to come out as well. Nothing like having a bunch of race cars on the street. I see that some of you are further East, I would attend somthing further your way in the Spring. I was just in Indy last weekend w/my 16v, but it is in storage now for the winter. I used to post on this site all the GTG, but no one ever came so I concentrated on some of the others. Now it's almost to the point I just call up the guys who usually want to roll, and we just do it.

I wanted to correct the misconception that I am a kid. Most of us do have heavily moded cars, but we're not kids.

Let's have one in INDY! David and I will DEFINITELY be there!

There is talk of a large all-euro meet at Osceola IA(just south of Des Moines) June 12-13th. Right now there is an AutoX set up at the casino on the 13th and the BMWCCA is supposedly involved. I'll keep you guys updated.

We have VW TDI (diesel) GTG's here at my place spring and fall as a part of the TDI Club Forum, several of us have old MB diesels. We eat BBQ, work on the cars and do a lot of BSing.:cool: There is one guy who comes that is a MB/VW trained tech, one regular is computer engineer (best tech on VW I've ever met), the MB/VW tech has a 300D he brings down. One or two others have old MB's but usually bring their VW's.

Anyone who would like to come to a GTG is more then welcome, I love talking MB, :D and would love to drool over someone else's old MB. :rolleyes: :D Our next GTG is in Oct check this link. Old Navy's Fall GTG We are really into diesels, and help each other as much as possiable so we can stay clear of dealers who know nothing about diesels. :eek: :rolleyes:
