Update
The area is in high gear, getting ready.
Thousands of classic and antique cars are cruising Woodward Avenue every evening, getting warmed up for the main event. I will be at the shop 7:00 AM August 21 2004. We leave at 9:00 AM. The plan is to cruise from South Boulevard to Eight Mile and possibly back to South Boulevard. Everything depends on traffic density. We may meet at a restaurant afterwards; this will be decided at the shop before we leave. Anyone who wants to meet and smoke the cruise with a group of MB diesels is welcome. I will have water and Coke. |
Oh, what a day and night!!!

Whunter.
Is that a RR that you're riding in? Looks nice! I guess that that guy in the wire beetle isn't upset that his A/C isn't working. But if I where him I would keep my mouth shut, you never know what might be in the air. It's unfortunate that NJ is to far from Detroit otherwise I would have been there. Louis. PS: nice pictures. |
Thank you. I took quite a few of those pictures. whunter was driving the Rolls, I was the co-pilot.
Take note of the second picture in post #5. It is a '68 Ford Shelby Cobra GT500 Mustang. Been garaged all it's life. It has 428 original miles on it. It looks like it came off the showroom floor. The paint and interior are perfect. |

Awesome pix there Whunter.....Sure wish I could have been there.
My brother and sister in law were out there in the '46 ford. Made a couple of trips up and down, then headed home. Said they wanted to park and look around but people were getting double digits for parking. I told him that I could have hooked him up with some great spots, but he looked down his nose at Mercedes...so...let him eat cake!! |

That bug is called the wedding car; one was used in one of the Olympics years ago.
There were only about 5 made. |
That bug was at the cruise last year too.
We parked for a while at the Mercedes dealership. Watched the cruise for a while and got a lot of pictures there. |
