British Columbia GTG
A few of us over at MBCanada are doing a GTG on April 17th. It's at a park called Pitt Meadows. I'm not sure yet exactly where that is, but I guess not too far from Vancouver. I'll post more info as I get it. But wanted to invite anyone here that wants to show up.

The invitation is for all Mercedes enthusiasts, no matter what your denomination.:p I plan on inviting a few people that don't frequent either board, but love the cars. More instructions to follow.

Here's instructions if coming from Washington
I'm only going to give instructions for crossing at Aldergrove. If you want to use one of the other crossing, I suggest consulting a map, as there are many possible ways of getting there!
At Bellingham, exit off the I-5 to Hwy 539. Follow that straight north to the Aldergrove border crossing. Once you're through the Aldergrove border crossing, continue to head straight north, past the zoo, till you get to Hwy 1. Take the Hwy 1 westbound exit (to Vancouver). Travel west on Hwy 1 till you cross the Port Mann Bridge (can't miss it). Take the first exit once you've crossed the bridge. It's called something like 'Hwy 7 to Coquitlam' or something like that. This part gets a little tricky. Once you come up the off ramp, you will turn northish, and you should see signs saying 'This lane for Hwy 7 East', 'This lane for Hwy 7 West'. You want Hwy 7 East. As you go around this S shaped curve, the outside lane will branch off (that's to Hwy 7 West). As you curve the other way, you should see another off ramp a short distance away. I think it's called 'Hwy 7a to Maple Ridge/ Pitt Meadows, or it might mention United Blvd (probably both). You need to take that ramp, but the hard part is that you have to get in to that lane, and there are often cars coming in that lane (at a fair clip). But there should be enough time to get over. There are 2 lanes for the off ramp, stay in the left. They curve to the right, and after you had done that, you need to lane change to the left. At the second set of lights, turn left. Again, it will be marked 'To Maple Ridge/Pitt Meadows'. This is the Mary Hill bypass. You can follow this along the river for quite aways, until you get to the Pitt River Bridge. The bypass will end, and you'll turn right and go over the bridge. Congratulations, you are now in Pitt Meadows! Don't blink, you might miss it. :p You are now on Lougheed Hwy (aka Hwy 7). If you get to 203rd Street, you've gone too far and are in Maple Ridge. Pitt Meadows is small, and Lougheed only has about 4 lights that take you in to town. The 'biggest' intersection is Harris Road. Turn south on Harris Road. MacDonalds is on this intersection (and south is towards MacDonalds), as well as an Esso station and a Volkswagon repair shop. Follow Harris Road south, past the railway tracks. At the second set of lights after the tracks, turn right on Ford Road. YOu will see the airplane symbol indicating 'this way to airport'. There is a white church on the corner. Follow Ford Road all the way to the stop sign. Turn left at the stop sign. This is Baynes Road. You will see a big empty meadow/swamp behind a wire fence, this is airport grounds. Follow Baynes south to the second airport entrance. Not the one where Command Aviation is. . Baynes is a dead end, and about a block before the deadend, there will be another entrance. Turn right to the airport and viola! you've found the place. There are two parking lots, one to the right and one to the left. We will meet in the one to the right (but it's easy to see both parking lots so you can't miss the group). We hope to see you there!
