Peter,

Coming from WV, it would be great if you could get a caravan of German cars to make the trip. It's a big time committment, being an over nighter, but what fun!

This looks great. Our car won't be up for the show, but we can almost certainly attend.

car show follow-up

wow!
this year was really a great show, a very good turn out about 72 cars i believe.

bmw, porsche, audi, opel, mercur, and volkswagen. vw was pretty well represented.

snibble showed up too.
i enjoyed talking with you and it was good to see you again. sorry about your accident.
remember I"M COUNTING ON YOU FOR EURO PARTS!

the most fun for me was driving rodd's very peppy e420 95 mph on I-270 by pass in columbus.
i was trying my best to catch him in my 300e with the new sportline sway bar. all i could see were my tailights...

NOT!! i could have quite easily waxed him with the 268 horses.
he was such a good host at the show, letting him win was the least i could do.

the mid-ohio section of mbca has a great bunch of people. they put on a great show. well with my 6 hour round trip.
i'm joining this chapter.

my sig pic was taken at the show

well done rodd and joe and everyone.

Peter,

I was impressed with your 6-cylinder! That was the first W124 300E I've driven and I was suprised by the acceleration; and your sway bar was worth it!

Thanks for the complements on the show. I think it was 71 registered cars, plus the new G500 and E320 CDI brought in by our sponsor, Crown Eurocars. I was happy with the turnout, but I was hoping to fill the parking lot as well as the lawn. My goal was to approach 100 cars. Maybe next year!

I really liked seeing the following:
- 300SL Roadster
- two Unimogs
- S600 Coupe
- Opel GT
- Porsche 917
- Karmann-Ghia coupe with matching mini-trailer
- the row of Porsches (911, 914, 944)
- the modified VW's
- the big 1966 VW 1500 5-seat coupe

Thanks for making the big drive to Columbus, that's real dedication! I'll make sure we add a trophy for "Longest Distance Travelled to the Show" next year.

Nice pic in your signature, I will be posting pics as soon as I can.

Thanks,

hi rod

i am wondering if the pictures the man took of [almost] everyone turned out and if they're posted somewhere?

i'd sure like to see them.

thanks

peter

Peter,

He took about 300 photos and gave them to me (in thumbnail) on a CD. Would you want me to look for photos of your car? Are there other's you're interested in? They are not posted anywhere. You're the first to ask about them!
