Hey everyone,

It's been a while since we had a nice big GTG.
The weather has been very nice this summer and though I don't drive a diesel anymore (sadly...), I love the group's spirit! and would definitely enjoy a nice get together again!

It seems that it's unbelievably hard to get a Mercedes GTG in the New England area... :confused:


What about Sunday August the 1st 2004?

Location : What about Colt State Park in RI again?

or maybe the Newport, RI area? Maybe one of those parking lots on the side of Ocean Drive? (would be crowded but it would be sweet I think)


Bring your own drinks and food?

I'm in for the August 1st one. I can do any GTG as long as it is on a Sunday, I have to work on Saturdays.

That sounds good to me, I should be able to make it, moreover, it provides some incentive for me to finish up my engine work enough to make it up there. It's been WAY too long since I last drove my SD (primarily because we moved to the shoreline) but last night I bolted it down on the motor mounts, so I can see light at the end of the tunnel.

Most likely, I will attend.
I will be traveling down to Pawley's Island with the family AND 3 sea kyaks the 3rd week of July.
August 1 seems good at this point.
Maybe I can get my wife to either drive HER 1982 300Sd OR just let ME bring it down.

maybe this should be moved to Events and Gatherings? and invite the non-diesel driving NE people?

Also fine opportunity to drive other people's diesels for comparison. I attended last year, but am now 5 states away..... Can recommend New England Outing as excellent fun for everybody.

What about Hammonnassett guys? Or something along the likes.

Not much to do at the Hartford park. At least get a BBQ or something going down by the beach?

Just a thought.
