I just found and contacted an old Army buddy of mine and he now lives in New Braunfels. And guess what, he has been doing European Car work for 20 years there.
I am anxious to go see him one weekend. A Thursday night will be tough because I can't get away on a weekday for awhile. That said, if I were to be in New Braunfels on a weekend would any of you CenTex folks be willing to meet me on a Saturday Night in New Braunfels for German food? Sorry I'll miss your Thursday. If you ever get together on a weekend I'll do my best to make it. Have a great day, |

Gang,
No worries if ya can't make it this time; we'll do another one of these simplified GTGs in a month or so.

Sometimes silence speaks volumes. I guess there is no one that would be interested in German food on a Saturday night in New Braunfels.
Oh well, I guess it's time to change deodorant. Have a great day, |

Unfortunately, I will be working as well. The distance is too far to try to cover right out of work.
Larry, I'd love to go, but again, I work weekends. |

Gee Whiz Larry, It is a little soon to be introspective about your deodorant...
1. You posted your info buried inside a thread with too long a name... and anyone who had already counted out a thursday may not keep looking back at the thread.... 2. You only posted it yesterday... and that was a SATURDAY.... lots of folks are gone on weekends... 3. Start your own thread... capitalize the words, and make it short... and then ask the same question. for example: TEXANS: NEW BRAUNFELS GTG and give it at least TWO DAYS before you consider it a failure... |

I was just poking fun.
Once I determine when I'll be there, I will indeed start a thread as far in advance as possible. Have great day, |

Ya. Jaegerschnitzel mit pommes frittes oder kartofelsalat.
My Army buddy in New Braunfels was on the same missile base with me 35 years ago in Pforzheim, Germany. I know that I don't have to get German food approved by him. I hope to make it there in the coming weeks and I will offer lots of warning. Have a great day, |

SWMBO is bringing her 300D out for a while so, if they will all run at the same time, I should have three present and klattering. Not to worry about cosmetics either, all my console wood is sitting in the shop right now.
