Where to buy new upper balljoint boots?
Love the DIY section...uber helpful for folks like me!
I have an '84 300D Turbo Diesel (am posting pictures and profile soon) with 210k and its my daily driver. The previous owner had the upper control arm assembly replaced fairly recently, and its in good condition. Unfortunately, the rest of the suspension and steering not so much. I just dropped $600 or so at ******** for an array of parts and am currently working on the lower balljoints. I very slightly tore the upper balljoint boots when removing the spindle assembly. In one of your DIYs you mentioned that the boots can be bought seperately. I've searched several online parts houses and wasn't able to find anything. Where do you get them? Are they generic boots? JaimeK kindly provided me with part # 116-586-05-33 , available from MB dealers (not usu in stock) for around $9-16 each. |
