I would love it if you guys could somehow rent the MB-specific tools manufactured by SIR Tools to us. IMPCO has been doing this, but I'd rather rent from the PartsShop.
Right now, I want to rent the MB spring compressor and ball joint press for the upcoming work on my 300SD. I'll have to give IMPCO over $100 of money...... Please consider adding this service. Chris Blanchard 1984 300SD 138.2k |

Chris - I would recommend finding a good local independent that can press you ball joints in. I rented the tool from IMPCO and it was worn out which resulted in wasting a week of time (time without my diesel) and destroying a good ball joint. Hopefully, the repaired their tool. In the end I just took it to a local independent who pressed two of them in for me for not alot more than the rental fee. IMPCO did not charge me for the rent of the tool which I considered pretty good of them.
