I have 1985 190E 2.3, my car automatically starts in second gear. I was wondering if any one knows how to set it up, so that it starts from first gear.

This would be better posted in the Tech Forum (or better yet, answer found by doing a search).

However, to answer your question, you can cause a 1st gear start by doing one of the following:

Come to a stop, shift the lever down to 1st, then back into "D". Upon starting off the tranny will be in 1st and quickly shift to second. Or, you can come to a complete stop and when you start just mash the throttle, you will kick down and start in 1st with the tranny shifting to second around 5K rpms.
