This question was asked on the pole on the main shop forum page. Can someone explain to what this event is, and when it is ?

I think it is all still kind of unofficial. I can't speak for the MercedesShop crew, but basically, the people who brought us this fantastic "Clicks and Order" MercedesShop web site for discussion and great prices on parts, are now building a "Bricks and Mortar" Mercedes Service Center site in Atlanta.
A lot of the members who have chatted over the last 2 years(?!?)think it would be great for everyone who can to meet in Atlanta and turn it into a Meeting, Party, Cross Country Rally, CarShow, Media Event, Technical Clinic, Whatever Comes to Mind! Just a fun way to meet the people who started the site (and each other) and show our appreciation for all the entertainment and valuable info the web site has brought into our lives.
It all seems to be in the planning stages, and is prety spontaneous at this point, so don't be bashful with ideas! The more the merrier! This thing has a life of it's own.
The date is also up in the air, it will be when the Service Center is opening in late May or early June (Updates at the bottom of the MercedesShop Home page http://www.peachparts.com/mbautowerks/mbautowerks.htm
