I am from Sweden and I'm going to buy an old Swedish
Ambulance (W123 -82) in the spring of 2001. I want info about the ambulances. For example where were they built. I wanna know as much as possible. http://home.swipnet.se/ambulans/oldtimer.jpg Big pic of the front http://home.swipnet.se/ambulans/bilar2.JPG In the middle with two other newer MB-Ambulances |

Wow Erik,
You will never see something like that in America. Very interesting indeed! I am curious, how will you use it? Have you tried http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/Downs/9323/index2.html, scroll down to the "Lists and Links" section and select "MB Links". You may find some good info there. |

Ambulance & policecars
I will use the W123 as a camper and transport car.
But I'm going to try to keep it in "original" even though the laws forbid ordenary pepple to have blue rotating lights and the text "ambulans". It's one of Swedens oldest ambulance still in use and under my swedish page of the car I have a lot of pictures on simular cars under "bilder". http://www.angelfire.com/nm/w123/ I also have a Saab 95 V4 '75 (ex-policecar) http://www.angelfire.com/nt/saab95/ |

Are you a collector? I've never heard of someone wanting to collect ambulances. AS long as its a Benz. AMG should tune up a ambulance. That way the hospitals wouldn't need to use helicopters.

Unusual cars is more fun
I have chancged the adresses to:
http://www.angelfire.com/wa/spejare/ambulans and: http://www.angelfire.com/wa/spejare/saab95 and I'm working on English versions on them. No I'm not really a collector. I just think that it's fun to own unusual cars. Everyone here i Sweden just have ordinary boring Volvo 740's and Saab 900's. |
