Well I found a couple of pictures for the new CLK that will be introduced in 2003-2004. Here are the links, tell me if they dont work, and if they do what do you guys think? I personally do not like them. Just like I said the car has lost its agressive look to it!

perhaps it is a coupe based on the C class and not the E Class?

Looks good, though I think the rear looks kinda like a saturn?

New CLK

Thanks for the pics. I really like the new look. It isn't as aggressive looking as the current CLK, but I think it is a much nicer looking car. Not real sure about those C-Class Coupe' tail lamps, but they aren't too bad.

By the way, the current CLK is based on the old C-Clas platform, not the E-Class.

Don't like it. Looks like a cross between an MB CL500 and and Acura CL coupe.
It has lost the great lines that were the reason I bought the car.
Maybe it is just an unflattering picture....

What new look? Those are photoshop fakes of a new C-class. They're not even doctored spy photos of the new CLK.

I don't like it much, either. However, the photos are starting out with a C-class as a base, so they're probably disproportional in the length of the hood and trunk, and probably the rear roofline too.

Those are how the W203 C-class spy pics looked to, but look at the C-class, it looks really nice.

Personally, I think it's ugly. As many of you guys have stated earlier, the current CLK seems more aggressive and much more stylish. I agree with you SV on the W203 C-class thing, but I don't know how this one is gonna turn out nice. I think it does look like a Saturn...

now that I look at it some more, I noticed the major flaw. its the bumpers. they are molded to the car, which is not an MB trait. the lines are too smooth. I love the agressive look of a proper bumper, and not that moulded plastic crap. It looks too much like the acura's, hondas, lexus, toyotas, nissans and infinities, which have that moulded bumper crap.

The essence of the agressive look of a benz are the lines of the cars. this one looks like it isn't even deserving of a 2cyl engine, let alone a V6 or V8.

I don't even see how that car could be made to look good by AMG or any other MB tuner.

I guess I finally found a benz I don't like. Like the rest though.

I can't help it but agree with TRENT. It not great looking. I can live with anything from front end to B-Pillar, which is very CL-ish, and looks very elegence IMO, but the rear!!?? God, what's MB designers thinking?? Sure they try to capture the image of SLR on future roadsters/coupes, but that's why too much, and not very MB-ish...

If they made CLK that way, I am many ppl wouldn't be interested in....get a ACURA CL Type-S instead.....decent car at half of the price of CLK320 Coupe...

I dont know if i trust the source. I trust http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/Downs/9323/index2.html the MB Enthuiast's page but after compareing these pics they could be computer enhaced versions check these out. http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/Speedway/5350/clk2002.htm
But they do have the same basic look.

Your right, they do have the same basic look, but I still think its ugly, I mean look at the rear, the car looks more like a hatchback then a coupe!

OK the car isn't even out yet and everyone says they hate it already. People keep saying the shape is ugly. Maybe it won't be huh ? Just wait till the car comes out then decide if its a nice car or not. Since when has a spy pic of a car ever looked nice ?
