The first one is me protecting my car while camping last summer; the fire was coming dangerously close!

The second one is also camping. The BMW is my friend Justins'. You never saw what I look like in that pic!!

The third one is a pic of my sub and amp, notice the MBZ emblem. I got that from a junkyard of an OLD 450 SEL trunk I believe.

The fourth is of my car and my dad's S420. Notice the Mercedes Parking Only sign!

And the last one is of my car just after a washing in the drive.

SORRY ABOUT THE DOUBLE POST.

I'll coment. Car looks good. :)

Now all you need to do is put in the E-class avantgarde grille insert, some 17" Wheels, and you'll be styling. :)

Car looks very clean.

Nice pic's, now you just need to convince your buddy to drop the BMW and wise up!

Mercedes is the only way to GO. :)

David C Klasse 02-22-2001 04:54 PM

I know, I really want the avantgarde grill! Troydewan got one for like a hundred bucks from somewhere, but I forget, brand new too! I'll have to ask him again!

As for the friend with the Bimmer, his lease is up (last week actually), and he needs a new car soon. He wanted the 330is but his dad wants him to get a MB, and I am talking him into it. He still loves MB, but he is just kind of a BMW person. But I just remind him how much classier and more of a gentleman's car a Mercedes is! So I'll let you guys know and put on those pics when I figure out how to do it!

Lower that bad boy and get some rims! :D

troydewan 02-22-2001 10:29 PM

Cool!

Hey David,

I like the pics. Your car (even though its a 1995) looks way better than your friends 99 Bimmer. I kind of like the look of your umodified C-class as opposed to my lowered one - there both cool for different reasons. BTW, I no longer have Instant Messenger - I'm back to ICQ and my new number is 109190496 in case you want to use it or anyone else wants to talk to me. I'm also sending mine back to the body shop soon to fix the leaking trunk and bad welds in the trunk as well as the doors in addition to some other small items.

Hottee,

Nice car and a lot of nice modifications to be done...
If I were you, I would upgrade the car into a model "98 (taillights, bumpers and skirts)...but then again, the parts are a lot cheaper here as in the states.

Keep up the good mods (and stop searching for possible problems that are not there).

greetingz,

David C Klasse 02-23-2001 11:35 AM

I know, I really want it to look like a 98-00 model C-class. You said the parts were cheaper here in the states? Are you in the US yet? Did you know that I'm in the US too?
I need lower skirts, tail-lights and new trunk lid! I would start with the taillights, then the lower skirts... if/when I do it.

MBenzNL 02-23-2001 11:59 AM

Hottee,

I know almost everyone is in the states (except for some members) and I am still in europe (you can probably remember the post about the C class hatchback in Stuttgart).
The parts are cheaper in europe as in the states. I still have a complete model "98 front and rear bumper and both side skirts...but that will not help you that much (because of the distance).

Start with the taillights, combine the skirts and bumpers (one does not look good without the other) and skip the trunk lid! The trunk lid is not half as easy as it looks like...it cost me a lot of thinking and puzzling to get my trunk lid lock to work properly.

greetingz,

MBenz,
Yeah i heard the trunk lid is a *****, and really not worth it I suppose. But I want the avantgard grill (Troy... where?), and the lower skirts and tail-lights. Think it's a good idea to get the skirts from a wrecking yard? I know of a MB wrecking yard up in LA, but I hate to go there because they are so damn rude, you wouldn't believe it. How do they expect to have customers when they are that rude? Last time I tried to buy something from them, I ended our conversating with an F*** YOU, @SSHOLE because he was being a REAL Jerk. (excuse me if I offended anyone) But I might consider getting them there if it's gonna be that much cheaper.
