Kerry,

You can try CNET's download section:

Various editing utilities, some free, some not. Worth a look.

Thanks for the pointer Bob.

The current program I'm running is FotoStation 4.5

Perhaps I ought to relook the digital cam and see if I can shot the frame with reduced resolution ....

I have an 89 560SEL which has to be one of the best cars I have ever owned. Next on the upgrade list is the stereo system, the factory system is quite poor in comparison to the rest of the car.

Mattman, what type of system are you planning? I will upgrade my car as soon as I figure out what to buy..

Hi Rich. In the 126's we are limited mainly by speaker size as the openings in the dash are pretty small. What I plan to do is install a 4 channel amp with 50w rms per channel, a 10 disc changer, a nice clarion single cd head unit, and a 200w amp for a 12in sub which I will port through a new rear deck. The new rear deck won't have the first aid bins in it, I will leave these open as a port for the sub and cover the new deck with a matching fabric.

Matt.

Matt,

I'm planning on something similar, less the powered sub. (I hate subs.. unless its in a home theater set up, but that's just my opinion)

I'd like to buy MB Quart but there's no where to listen to them, and figure out which series is best.

Hi Rich, I am only going for a sub because the bass from the small speakers will be very limited. I only have the 4 speaker factory setup so can only fit two dash speakers and two rear tray speakers. I will probably go with MB Quart speakers, getting the most expensive set that will fit my mountings. I am definitely not a boom boom sort of guy but a sub is necessary with such small speakers.

Matt,

I agree with you, sounds like you have the 86-87 speaker config., with respect to U.S. cars. The 88+ (US Spec) cars have a 5-1/4' in the door - it helps a bit. You may be able to purchase a repacement 88+ door panel, but it would probably be a pain to wire, etc.

The most expense MBQ's are like $800/pair or something, is it worth it?

Mine is an 89 Euro that has an aftermarket Clarion head unit and a 2 channel amp tucked away that I haven't been able to find yet :-) I tried getting part numbers etc for the door trim but it got too hard so I am going to stick with the standard locations for now. The speakers will have the most impact on the sound, and having such small sizes means that only the best speakers compensate for the size.

Matt.
