There are a number of pictures at http://www.w126.com and also on Autotrader. When I sent a picture of "mine" to a friend, I actually used a photo from a dealer of another 560SEL which was a U.S. model in gold.

1986 560SEL, 16,559 produced according to http://www.w126.com.

I need to post some pictures of my car, but I am not done with it yet. You can see a shot I did of a car that looks exactly like mine where it has the stock 14" wheels, and then where I have placed the 16" 8-hole wheels on it. I love being able to doctor pictures up. It helped me out in my decision to get the 16" wheels.

Click on the "Mercedes" button on the left side. While you are there, take a look at my future toy "Cobra". Can you say 500hp?

I love my W126 also. That feeling of driving a luxury tank/yacht/Lazyboy/couch/bank vault that is the W126. Watching all kinds of dangerous things happening (due to Pennsylvania drivers while I stay glued to the left lane, I am still impressed by how safe and isolated one feels.

Great cars, love em all. From the diesels to the 560SEL they are all great performers in their application. Beautiful to look at, inexpensive to own and maintain these days. Can't imagine wanting to drive any other.

Some pics of "issues" dealt with my 560

I've got some pics of when I woke up to find my 560SEL broken into as well as replacement of the infamous radiators that break (which mine actually was although I thought it was PREVENTIVE MAINT.)

Love my 126. My first car is a mercedes, how lucky am I?

mbz380se 12-04-2001 03:29 PM

I thoroughly enjoy my 380SE. Here's my fantasy wish list:

1. Getrag 5-speed

2. Sportline suspension upgrades, 16" wheels.

3. Seat heaters! (mine didn't come optioned with them)

4. A Kleeman supercharger, adapted to fit an M116 SOHC V8.

5. Two 10 inch subs in the trunk

6. Boston Acoustics speakers inside

7....damn, that's all the car needs to be just about perfect.

I'm trying to get the pic loaded ... but its too large ... how do I reduce the resolution?

Robert W. Roe 12-17-2001 08:42 PM

I've been using software called acdsee. It's a free download from www.acdsee.com ... it gives you several options if you download the full package. If I recall it's about a 23 MB download, but it's not too bad if you have a high speed connection. You can crop, and save with different compression ratios or resolutions (inches, pixels, etc.) , and crop a pic to a different filename. Try it; it's free, although after a period of time they begin to nag you to register it, and you lose some functionality if you don't register. Good luck.
