You can no longer buy a C-Class with HID lights from Dealer stock! The C1 Package Option which included Zenon High Intensity Discharge (HID) headlamps for the C-Class in 1999 is no longer available. If one wants HID on the C-Class it is now only a Factory Special Order from Germany which of course takes a few months to get. This may help make the C-Class take a back seat to features now found in-country on BMW 3-Series and lessor cars like the Infiniti I30 and the Acura TL. Interesting. Canadian C-Class doesn't offer Xenon as an option, too. Only C43 will get Xenon. MB better get Xenon back, or lots people will shift to BMWs. The new 3-Series really will hurt C-Class' sale figure if MB doesn't figure out a way to fight.
P.S. New 328Ci with 5-speed will be priced at $46,000 CDN. Very good price compare to Jeep Grand Cherokee($49,000 CDN), SLK230($56,000 CDN), or Lexus ES300($47,000 CDN). Happy Motoring..... Andy Kuo '92 400SE 71,228 KM |

To get Xenon headlamps in the C230/C280 the cost is now $950 plus an additional $1000 for the "Special Order Personalization Charge" and of course a couple months wait. What a ripoff!
