This might be the deal of the century, but be catious at the same time. The vehicle mfg. date is 7/91, but it has 94 style hood and headlights (accident victom?) Otherwise it may be a steal!

My, what sharp eyes you have! I am so used to my euro light look that I didn't even notice this "92" had a different grill and hood. A friends employer was in an accident with their 500E a year or so ago, with extensive front end damage to the car. All the 500E owners on this forum agreed that this area was where Porsche had made major mods, and might be hard to fix properly. Well, her bosses insurance company spent $21,000 fixing the car! Many trips to the shop before it finally went to a "race car specialty shop" (?) that took measurements of an intact 500E and put things more or less right - I understand that her boss still feels that it pulls a little to one side at speed.

I was just posting it for others that might be interested. First it was a Euro model, and second he converted it from 500E to E500. Which inludes the name change and also the different hood. Sharp eyes indeed.

very interesting
The convertion from 500E to E500 is obvious and very convenient (it safes you a lot of time and money). If my departure to the states already was set, I would definitely consider purchasing this EURO 500E!!! I am not sure yet whether to bring the 300CE conv. (have to export it within ONE year again) or buy an american vehicle (and that HAS to be a 500E). This one would save me a lot of trouble if I was going to take it home again... greetingz,
