W221 Absolute Insult...
I've heard of cheap imitations or direct ripoffs, but this borders as an absolut insult to W221 owners:
Below are a couple of pictures of the latest 4x4, the Kyron X-Transition, produced by SsangYong (a Korean manufacturer, which by the way is partly owned by DaimlerChrysler). Don't you think, or is it just me, that the front headlamps are the SAME PART NUMBER as the units installed on the new S-class (W221)? How can Mercedes-Benz let this to happen?!?!?!? By the way, this cheap Korean skate costs only US$18,000.00 I am sure new S-class owners would be happy their new $100k + machines will resemble a cheap 4x4. And don't get me started on the side mudflares detailing...

Eh? Aren't the W221's headlights fancy xenons? Seems odd that lights that expensive would appear on a $18,000 car.

It's not that bad!
Sounds to me like it's a good source of cheap parts! I may end up driving one of these in 10 years and wouldnt mind cheap parts for it .
This reminds me of when BMW bought Rolls Royce and the motoring press in the UK threw a fit because the Rolls has BMW 7 Series A/C controls.

Did you know that you can get a $16,000 Renault Clio Sport factory fitted with BI-Xenon headlamps? Xenons are not just anymore for luxury barges.
