2003 C32 Amg

I just got my 2003 C32 AMG and I thought I would give some short term info because I have had the car just 2 weeks....

I did many a search on this car and read all the reviews, M3 vs. C32 threads, etc. Here it is..

The power is awesome and the motor quite smooth. Mine only has 28,000 kms' on it so we'll see in the long term. I have read that the car sounds terrible and the exhaust note is horrible. I think the engineers did a great job and it sounds quite nice. Similar to the C36 and as good as a 6 banger can rumble.

The car handles excellent and is tight. It is definately better than the C36 with less body roll. The C36 wasn't bad by any means, the C32 is just better. Brakes are insane and they work very well even when the have been pushed a bit. The transmission is very good too but sometimes I notice it up shifts a bit quick.

The interior is very nice and some may not like the speedo cluster as much as the older (and newer C's). I think my C36 was a bit nicer with the wood trim and classic MB speedo. They did improve the interior on the C55 when I looked at one but I couldn't justify paying $17,000 more Cdn. If the C32 had the walnut burl trim, I think it would be quite classy but with the plastic (or whatever it is) can in some eyes make it look cheaper. Not a huge deal to me since the car itself is so fun to drive....

On that note, the car is very fun to drive fast. It gets to speed in no time so be aware After 2 fill ups, it seems that the gas mileage so far is similar to the C36.
