normal temp

sorry to bomard with questions, but I am a newbie.

I was wondering if my temp gauge should alarm me on the 86 300e I am driving. It hovers at the 80 mark rising some while I sit still for long periods of time. Is the driving temp normal???

Yes it is normal. The mechanical fan should start to engage at aroun 92C and be fully engaged by almost 100C.

The electric fan operates at low speed with the A/C according to refrigerant pressure and turns on high at 107C coolant temp.
