85 300SD 297K Leaky radiator @ transmission cooler line
Ah, the challenges of Mercedes. Latest issue: where the cooler line goes into the radiator there is a flat washer/threaded collar that threads on the outside of the male radiator portion of the connecting fitting. this broke, thus allowing the radiator to leak. MB said new radiator. I said there MUST be a replacement part. Sent pix to parts department, and lo & Behold there is such a part. I shall be getting it shortly. My dilemma is how to repair. I have enclosed three pix: leaking connector, connector as it should be and the broken washer/threaded collar. Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated....
