Vodafone McLaren-Mercedes starts in motor racing’s highest class – the Formula One. In 2009 world champion Lewis Hamilton and his team mate Heikki Kovalainen have an exciting motor sports year in front of them. The new rules promise exhilarating races: Now the top class will return to slick tires. Each driver will be limited to eight engines per season. In addition the teams may use KERS. In addition the teams are allowed to use KERS. This Kinetic Energy Recovery System gives the new MP4-24 an addition power gain of approximately 80 HP, which can be strategically used during the race.
